Blanca Nieves Fernandez Ochoa was born in Madrid on April 22, 1963 and after her career has become one of the most important Spanish skiers.
It is the first Spanish woman to get an Olympic medal in Winter Olympic Games, namely the bronze in the giant slalom at the Olympic Games of Albertville 1992.
Today, she remains the only Spanish in getting such a triumph in winter sports.
Although she has withdrawn from the professional sports world for over 20 years, Blanca is linked to the world of skiing and has tried to convey to everyone what supposed to be a pioneer in Spanish sport.
Currently she lectures on motivation and effort that entailed her sporting triumphs.
