KVATRO – The Russian Passion and elegance

The career of the pop-opera band KVATRO began in 2003 when the four students met each other at the Academy of Choral Arts named after A. V. Sveshnikov.

It did not take long till they became friends and shortly after that they decided to found KVATRO. In order to bring their vocal capacities to perfection they studied in Italy where they often performed live without any instrumental accompaniment. That is why their Italian friends gave them the nickname “Quattro Ragazzi” meaning “Four Friends”. This was the inspiration for the band’s name.

Since their foundation the four talented vocalists have gone through a multifaceted transformation. Beginning with a period of a cappella which was followed by jazz and soul, they eventually entered the realm of classical music. However, they did not stop searching for new challenges and started to compose their own music. For their unique style and the distinct interpretation of songs they constantly got standing ovations by their audiences. Furthermore KVATRO has successfully participated in various competitions and musical festivals such as “Success Secret” and “You are a Superstar”.

In August 2008 KVATRO was honored with the permission to represent Russia at the prestigious international song contest “Five Stars Intervisiónn”.

They were supported by Elena Kiper, an influential composer, director and producer in the Russian world of music who immediately was enthralled by their talent.Kvatro The young artists did not let her down but managed to win the contest. The same year they signed a contract with Russia Records, whose general producer is Elena Kiper.

Their successful work has attracted the attention of many influential musicians in Russia which is why they already received several awards and prizes.

The young men have developed into exceptional artists who not only offer stunning performances with their powerful voices but very passionate and emotional moments as well. They aim to create songs which may have an impact in the world and also wish to treasure the legacy the rich Russian culture, including their great composers.

The great impact and the pertinence of this band have already passed borders. KVATRO has performed on stage of various renowned venues such as the State Kremlin Palace, the Tchaikovsky Concert Hall and the Lincoln Theatre in New York City.
