Bienvenidos
Parrita

ParritaIf we now speak of Flamenco, our thoughts go naturally to Parrita as one of the most important voices on today's scene either for amateurs and professionals of this very much appreciated music.

He was born into a canastera family of Valencia, in the neighborhood of Nazareth in 1941. From a young age he began to get into this music, following in the footsteps of his older brother, The Peti, winner of the Festival de Cante de las Minas.

Although he did music for a living since he was 16 years old, it was not until 1982 after the release of his album of covers of classic of Cecilia, as "Dama, Dama" when his career was driven nationally.

Then, other albums would come with large collaborations such as Paco de Lucia (Quita EL Sentío), Tomatito (Canastero), Benavent and Kitflus (Gypsy Ballads) and Joan Albert Amargós (Entre La Espada Y La Pared), Pitingo, Tamara, and many more…

His latest album, "Trocitos De Nuestra Vida" is a luxury to which we give ourselves unreservedly to enjoy good music. A job that is great from the moment of conception.Parrita

This ambitious project brings together a selection of 11 songs; nine of them are versions of pop hits of the best melodic pop in Spanish of all times and two unreleased songs composed by the artist himself. We find great songs like "Eres Tu" by Mocedades, which is the first debut single, "Te Amaré" by Miguel Bose, "La Mujer Que Yo Quiero" by Joan Manuel Serrat, "En El Parque" by Miguel Ríos or "En Carne Viva" of Raphael, to name a few, make of this directory be only available to artists with a unique style consolidated, large dose of courage and immense respect for the original work.

In addition, Parrita wanted to be surrounded, for the recording of "Trocitos De Nuestra Vida" of three illustrious names of our music, which special collaboration has reached the final notes of excellence. In "La Mujer Que Amo" has had the guitar accompaniment of Tomatito, in "Hoy Tengo Ganas De Ti" with special guest Tamara, and "Te Amaré" in the presence of Pitingo in a interpretive hand in hand of Titans.

Vicente Castro "Parrita" has become one of the biggest names in today's flamenco cante, thanks to his splendid, refined and measured voice, that makes him unique and have certainly led him to have more than three decades working in the music and the not inconsiderable figure of fourteen discs on the market.
