Manuel Arroyo Liñan is known in the dance world with the stage name of Manuel Liñan; he was born in Granada on May 8, 1980 where he studied with Manolete and Mario Maya.
He arrived in Madrid at age 17 after having toured in many festivals in Andalusia, several tablaos and flamenco clubs. Here he shares the bill with La Chunga in tablao Chinitas Coffee. A year later, he joined the Carmen Cortés Company for the premiere of 'Salome' at the Apollo Theater. He also participates in the company of Adrian Galia, with outstanding performances as the Festival of Mont de Marsan. That same year, acting in the show 'gypsies of Sacromonte' presented at the Biennial of Seville, a competition in which he was a finalist along with Rafael del Carmen.
Later, in the thirteenth edition of the Contest of Spanish Dance and Flamenco, Manuel Linan won the award for choreography and outstanding dancer.
Manuel Linan solo highlights in major companies, the director of his own and surprising creator of flamenco dancing.
In 2003, began working with Olga Pericet, Daniel Dona and Marco Flores, and with them has released plays such as Black Chamber assembly at the International Festival of Dance in Madrid in 2006, 2 in company, created with Marco Flores, and in his 13 with Flores and Pericet.
Los Caminos de Lorca premiered at the XIII Bienal de Flamenco with Belén Maya and Rafaela Carrasco, 1980, and Head, where he has collaborated in the creation and performance with other artists, and for which he won the Max Award for Best choreography along with the other components of this assembly, complete the artistic career of Manuel Linan.
