Juan Andres Heredia Maya, was born on January 6, 1972 in the heart of the gypsy quarter of Sacromonte. With the artistic background of his family, the Flamenco dynasty of the Maya, not surprisingly, began dancing at age three in the Cueva Del ROcío.
During his career he has shared the stage with artists such as La Chunga, Carmen Linares, Antonio Canales, Manolote, Eva Yerbabuena, Estrella Morente, Curro Albaycin…
The dance Solea is the hallmark of this dancer who emerges as the ambassador of the XXI century flamenco, who has worked in many corners of the globe and had the privilege of being requested by the U.S. First Lady Michelle Obama to act for her family.
