Fuensanta "La Moneta" is the case of an artist with early vocational skills. Her desire for flamenco dance awakens in her childhood. Such is her dedication to the dance and her innate conditions, that, being still a little girl, she is very known in tablaos Granada, Spain. At this stage she is required to act on galas organized by radio and TV, getting some major awards.
La Moneta combines her studies with work in the zambras and tablaos in order to be able to pay her dancing training courses with the best teachers: Mariquilla, Javier Latorre, Mario Maya, Juan Andrés Maya, Juana Amaya, Matilde Coral, Israel Galván and others. When she first danced in Madrid, being 16 years old, in the Suristan room, the fans and the critics that saw her concluded that they were looking at someone who had all the qualities to be a figure in flamenco dancing. This action led her to be interviewed by flamenco magazine Alma 100 and to be the image of the title page of the magazine, naming her as the most outstanding dancer born in the eighties.
Since then, Fuensanta la Moneta has danced in the most prestigious Flamenco Clubs in numerous flamenco festivals and theaters, in several countries in Europe, Asia and America.
La Moneta treasures, among her artistic virtues, a deep expressive drama, an exact domain of the "compass", a huge variety of records, extensive knowledge of singing and an innate talent that lets her make her dance, even the most difficult one, with ease… with flamenco flowing through her veins.
