SantanaCarlos Augusto Alves Santana was born in 1947 in Autlan de Navarro, Jalisco, Mexico.

The music was felt early in his life thanks to his father, who was a violinist in a mariachi band, and thanks to this, the young Carlos learned to play the violin, which later changed by the guitar when he was only eight years old.

By the year 1955, with his family moved to Tijuana, Santana began right there expound his music, appearing to play in clubs and bars in the tourist area.

When his family moved to San Francisco, California, he stayed a while longer in Tijuana, but soon followed.

Subsequently, in 1966, when Santana and he was 19, achieved form the "Santana Blues Band", then shortened to the simple name "Santana", and together with this band begin their presentations.

They played in several locations, which may include The Fillmore West, where many of the great San Francisco bands played.

After a while, gets his first recording, which was called "The Live Adventures of Mike Bloomfield and Al Kooper" with Al Kooper and Mike Bloomfield.

Later, he signed with Columbia Records, and that was when Santana released an album called "Santana", accompanied the group would be formed by: Carlos Santana on guitar Gregg Rolie on piano and vocals, David Brown on bass, and drummer Michael Shrieve, Jose Areas and Michael Carabello on percussion.

After the success they did in their first musical tour, came to market the work of the 1970 and 1971, called "Abraxas" and "Santana III" respectively.

Soon, the original band broke up, until he came Rolie, a new member who founded "Journey" and after a while, Carlos Santana has used the name and a number of different musicians to continue their tour after the United States releasing several albums.

The fame accompanied at all times, so that in this period, Carlos took the name "Devadip", conferred by spiritual leader Sri Chinmoy, and has presented many albums in this decade.Santana
By the year 1991, Santana is presented to the public with a new album called Ottmar Liebert "Solo Para Ti," which occurs between the songs "Reaching out 2 U" and a new recording of his own song "Samba Pa Ti "generating a very successful release of fame.

The following year, Charles canceled its contract with Columbia and soon has a new recording of the hand of Polygram and Arista Records, an impeccable product.
After some years, Charles received an invitation from Alex Lora, the Mexican rock band El Tri, to collaborate on a song titled "Virgin Morena" from the album "When you're not," for which appears after Santana, playing guitar this already classic song by El Tri.

Santana returned to the top after a few years, in 1999, along with the release of "Supernatural," a new compact off collaborations with Rob Thomas, Eric Clapton, Lauryn Hill and Mana, and this record has been without doubt the generating more sales, reaching number one on Billboard and Grammy Award winning 9.

By the year 2002, sheds light on Santana "Shaman" returning to include guest artists including POD, Seal and Michelle Branch.

Years later, unable to curb their ability to write and express themselves musically, has a new album called "All That I Am," which also features guest artists like Big Boi, Mary J. Blige, Black Eyed Peas, Los Lonely Boys, Sean Paul, Kirk Hammett (Metallica), Steven Tyler (Aerosmith) and Robert Randolph.
