PPITOVNIS is a band composed of boys from Madrid: Alex Arias, Chema Moreno,Ignacio Rasilla Villafruela and Rafa .
The group was born in late 2003 with Alex (guitar) and Chema (bass) who had met in the church choir.
They played as a duo gigging around small bars. They decided to create a more serious band for what they counted with guitarists Rafa and Alex who they had already worked with.
They posted an ad on an internet forum looking for a drums player and that's how they met Nacho, who was included immediately.
They began gigging around small sites where they touched on all versions of their favorite bands (The Beatles, Oasis, Hombres G) but were gradually changing versions of their own songs.
Time passed and each time they were gaining more followers and started playing in larger and more prestigious venues. In June 2007 they recorded their first studio demo called “Algo En Claro” by Tena Producciones, a very rocky album, 11 songs with lyrics full of emotions, all composed by them.
Their first single, "Gira La Noria" was chosen to be the main song of the famous program "La Noria" on Saturday nights at Tele 5 and recorded in a very different version than the original one with Juan Valverde, vocalist from Barcelona of the “Caja De Pandora”.
Like many other young bands, Pitovnis have been combining their summer tour with their college studies, preparing for winter halls in Spain and preparing new album.
Given the success of each song they released and the welcome they get from the audience, this band is one of the most promising pop bands that sing in Spanish sounding this days.
