Bruce Frederick Joseph Springsteen, known as just Bruce Springsteen's, was born on September 23, 1949 in Freehold, a small town in New Jersey, an Irish father and Italian mother.
After seeing Elvis Presley in a television program, he was attracted by the music world and bought a guitar.
Today is one of the singers, songwriters and guitarists best known worldwide and is known by the nickname The Boss.
His music has its own style, which differed from the artists of his day with a rock style and poetic lyrics linked to traditional American feelings and relating particularly to their home state, New Jersey.
Springsteen's recordings have tended to alternate, over four decades, between rock and other work-oriented folk and rock called heartland. Much of their success stems from its connection with the E Street Band, present in much of his recordings, and especially relevant for their particular sound and professionalism on stage, giving concerts reaching more than three hours.
In his long musical career, Bruce Springsteen has won numerous awards, including twenty Grammy Awards, two Golden Globes and an Academy Award. It has sold 65 million albums in the U.S. and 120 worldwide.
